Good to Know
Macrolink Medini, also marketed as The M, is a completed 39-storey residential development in Medini, Iskandar Puteri, Johor. It has three blocks of 335 units each, 1,005 residential units in total plus 25 retail lots, with layouts from one to three bedrooms, duplexes and dual-key units. It is developed by Macrolink International Land (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, and the developer's brochure lists more than 40 types of facilities.
Macrolink Medini is on private lease land, so it is not freehold today. The developer's summary and FAQ say the land can be converted to freehold before 2029, but the conversion is still waiting for Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) approval. If approved, owners pay the conversion cost, which the developer estimates at about RM7,000 to RM10,000 for units under 1,000 sq ft and RM10,000 to RM15,000 for larger units. Treat conversion as a possibility, not a guarantee. Strata titles have already been issued.
